With around half a year remaining, OPeraTIC has moved from concept validation to concrete, use‑case‑driven industrial groundwork.
A comprehensive laser process database has been created, covering multiple materials and functional surface patterns achievable with the OPeraTIC machine. Key hardware components — optical components and robotic manipulator — have been mechanically and electrically integrated into the platform. The safety systems, enclosure and electrical cabinets have been integrated in the OPeraTIC machine prototype.
A clear communication architecture has been defined, linking machine control, AI modules and the human–machine interface. An industrialisation roadmap has been defined, aligned with real manufacturing environments while acknowledging the challenges of scaling, data availability and partner‑specific adoption.
