Our OPeraTIC partner, Sofitec, has been promoting the project to its networks, focusing on the Spanish speaking photonics stakeholders. Sofitec are one of the key case study companies the project will be working with to ensure the machine outcome from the project can be fully operated by industrial partners. 

Sofitec will be utilising the new software and hardware developed by OPeraTIC, to evolve their production of large-scale aircraft components through the use of ultra-short pulsed lasers, enhancing the capabilities of the 3D surface treatment, increasing efficiencies and commercialisation of the parts. The data collected through the sensors, controllers, and optical signals will support both the physical and ditigal aspects of the innovation.
