Welcome to OPeraTIC
Boosting the Use of Ultra-Short-Pulsed Lasers in the Manufacturing Industry
The EU-funded project OPeraTIC running October 2022 until November 2026 advances the development of an ultra-short-pulsed laser (USPL) system to make surface treatment faster, smarter, and more sustainable. Combining high-power laser technology with Artificial Intelligence and real-time monitoring, OPeraTIC aims to deliver a modular, plug-and-play system for 3D surface processing in large-scale industrial applications. The system is being tested across four use cases in the home appliances, lighting, aeronautics, and automotive sectors. It is developed by 16 partners across Europe.
